The Importance of Upgrades in World of Warcraft
Upgrades are new items that boost your stats. You can upgrade armor, weapons and trinkets with these.
Upgrades to items employ a method known as "upgrade pity" to determine probabilities. This system is designed to limit extremes of chance and provide a safety net when upgrading.
Armor
The item upgrader allows players to upgrade the level of their equipment for their armor, trinkets and weapons. The upgrades are applied to the gear through a visit to an item upgrader NPC with appropriate currencies. Upgrading an item will also upgrade the stats on that item.
This NPC can be found in each major city and is located at the corner of the square near an Teleport. The NPC can be used to upgrade any type of armor, weapon or trinket, except for items that require an adventure to acquire or craft.
Note: The device you use to apply an upgrade will be consumed for the duration of time. You are not able to apply multiple upgrades to one piece. If you attempt to do so, the previous upgrade will be replaced.
The process of upgrading your gear is a great way to maximize the power of your gear, and increase your damage, survivability and overall power. If you own Benthic gear that was obtained from the War Within Mythic Dungeon it will be at ilvl 385 and can be upgraded by using [Prismatic Manapearls]. Upgrades to your PvE gear are available to all accounts. Upgrades to your PvP gear require the use of a specific currency, such as [Valorstones] and [Harbinger Crests(Harbinger Crests). The amount of Valorstones required to upgrade additional gear in an armor slot decreases after the first upgrade.
Weapons
Weapons are a key component of any successful character, no matter if they're used to ward off the murderous creature, slay an intruder, win a target shooting competition or simply hang on the wall. It isn't a matter of how you plan to make use of weapons. It can be upgraded, and it will change with your playstyle as time passes.
Upgrades to weapons can be made by visiting a Blacksmith who has a Weapon Workbench. Upgrades will not only increase the value of an item but also provide additional stats which can be used to increase its effectiveness. Some of these enhancements will be purely passive while others could provide more damage, speedier attack as well as increased range or strike chance.
Certain weapons can be upgraded to a higher level using an Ashes of War weapon, which rewards you for defeating certain bosses of raids. Whetblades are rare items that unlock new weapons.
After a weapon has been fully upgraded, a player can continue to upgrade it as long as he/she has the appropriate upgrade materials and currency. Be aware that weapons can only reach ilvl 25, and no higher. Therefore, players should only upgrade their weapons when they've accumulated the maximum number of upgrades from regular and Whetblade items.
Trinkets
The Trinkets can provide a range of Boosts. They can be upgraded as other equipment by interacting with an item Upgrader NPC.
You can find an item upgrader in the town of Stardew Valley. To use it, you must first remove any armor or weapons that are equipped. After that then, the NPC will appear with the red "Equipped" banner on his head.
